Dulux – Adopted

Our Happy Endings, Uncategorized

We are so happy to announce that Dulux, our stunning 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier boy has been adopted πŸŽ‰

Dulux did his 7 days at the pound waiting for his owner to come and collect him but no-one did and for no other reasons but the pound being full and him being a Staffy he was at serious risk of being euthanised 😑 Dulux went into foster and his foster family fell in love and decided to adopt him but due to a massive change in their circumstances they were unable to go ahead and Dulux was once again looking for his forever family 😒

Sometimes things happen for a reason and just a couple of days later we received an application from Mark who was looking for a sweet, laid back and loving Staffy that was great with other dogs and children to join his family and we knew that this was the home Dulux had been waiting for all this time 🐾

Dulux immediately made himself at home, giving kisses and cuddles to his new humans and running around with resident dog Lance, he is absolutely loving being part of his new family and has fitted in perfectly πŸ’™

Congratulations on your forever home handsome boy, you have a wonderful life to look forward too 😘

Daisy – Adopted

Our Happy Endings

We are happy to announce that Daisy, our cute 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier girl has been adopted by Dawn and family Β πŸŽ‰

Daisy is a real sweetheart who just wants to be loved πŸ’– She didn’t have the best start in life, she had bever been walked and was nervous little girl but she quickly gained confidence in a loving foster home where she started to learn to play and enjoy walks.Β Daisy is amazing with children and great with dogs and cats, is housetrained and knows the basic commands 😍 She walks lovely on lead but needs to continue to build her stamina up as exercise is new for her 🐾

Dawn had been looking for a new canine companion for a while and had been searching her local rescues for a few weeks when she accidentally came across Daisy, she showed her husband Daisy’s picture and told him she was the one, her husband agreed but thought that as they were over a 2 hour drive away from us and Daisy was so cute that there would be little chance they would be successful in being chosen πŸ˜• undeterred Dawn sent in the application and after a successful homecheck and a long and difficult trustee meeting to go through the many applications, Dawn was chosen to be Daisy’s new ‘mum’ 😁 They travelled down to meet her, completely fell in love and adopted her immediately πŸ’—

Congratulations on your forever home sweet girl, we know you are going to be very happy 😘

Buzz – Adopted

Our Happy Endings

We are pleased to announce that Buzz,Β our gorgeous 18 month old English Bulldog x Pug (Bulldog sized) has been adopted by Sinead and George πŸŽ‰

Buzz is an exceptional boy who loves absolutely everybody he meets, he is a lively dog who just wants to play and run around all day 🐢 He is fully house trained, crate trained, and knows the basic commands however he does pull on lead during walks and needs further training 🐾

Buzz severed his cruciate ligament about 8 months ago, he had surgery and is completely healed with no issues, however it is something any potential home needed to be aware of 😞

Buzz was a popular boy and we received a lot of applications for him but after a lot of deliberations we decided that Sinead and George were the ideal family for him 🏑

Congratulations on your forever home gorgeous boy, you deserve it 😘

Rosie – Adopted

Our Happy Endings

We are pleased to announce that Rosie, our cute 12 month old West Highland Terrier x Yorkshire Terrier girl has been adopted πŸŽ‰

Clare and Neil had been looking for a new dog to join their family for a while now and after a successful meet with their 2 resident Westies they decided Rosie was the dog for them 😍

Rosie was surrendered to Lucky by a family who told us they had ‘rescued’ her from an abusive home just a couple of days before but they couldn’t keep her as she was so aggressive 😳 Our assessor went to the home and was greeted with doggy kisses by the sweetest, most friendly girl before watching her happily play with the resident dogs, not an ounce of aggression in her πŸ€”

Rosie is absolutely brilliant with other dogs and children and while initially ok with cats she does become over playful with them πŸ™€She is full of energy and loves running around the garden chasing balls before curling up on the sofa for cuddles 😻

Congratulations on your forever home princess, you deserve it 😘

George – Adopted

Our Happy Endings

We are so unbelievably happy to announce that George, our handsome 8 year old Maltese x Yorkshire Terrier boy has finally found his furever home πŸŽ‰

George had been in foster with Lucky for longer than any other dog we have ever takenΒ πŸ’” He is a wonderful boy who needed a very special family to love him and show him that he no longer needed to take the role of protector 🐢

During a trip to our veterinary surgery for his annual vaccinations, one of the vets advised us of a couple who would be perfect adopters for George. She passed on our contact details and now George finally has his very own family again, very happily running around exploring his new home before settling down with his new humans ❀️

George is fully housetrained and knows all the basic commands. He is 100% a lapdog and loves cuddling up for a good fuss 😍

George is a loving but nervous boy who has massive protective instincts which unfortunately manifests in him lunging and barking at other dogs when he initially sees them but will then, on most occasions, happily walk alongside them. He also has some issues with people entering and leaving the home 😒We had our behaviourist come out to assess and work with George. He has a training guide in place which is proving to be extremely effective and this will be continued in his adoptive home with support and guidance from the behaviourist and the whole Lucky family 🐾

Congratulations on finding your forever family gorgeous boy. enjoy your new life 😘

Cody – Adopted

Our Happy Endings

We are so happy to announce that Cody, our 18 month old German Shepherd x Labrador girl has been adopted πŸŽ‰

Cody was picked up as a stray when she was only 5 months old, she had severe pneumonia and almost died but miraculously she made a full recovery with no lasting health issues 😊

Cody is a sweet and caring, everything friendly  dog who always wants to make sure everyone is ok. She loves to curl up at the side of her humans to have a fuss and loves to be sang to 🎢 She has a naturally cautious nature but she loves to play, especially with tug toys and footballs ⚽️

Josh and Stacey were looking for a canine addition to their human family, they fell in love with Cody from her photos and travelled a long way to come and meet her πŸš™ Cody and their young daughter became instant friends and Cody’s beautiful personality convinced them she was the only dog for them πŸ’œ

Congratulations sweet girl, you have a wonderful future ahead of you 😘

Ella – Permanent Foster

In Foster, Our Happy Endings

Ella is our lovely 11 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier girl who is in her furever foster home with Monica πŸŽ‰

Ella was found as a stray and taken to the local pound but nobody came to claim her so she was placed at the top of the list to be euthanised simply because she was an old Staffy and the pound was overcapacity 😒

Ella is a sweet and gentle girl who loves cuddles and playing almost as much as she likes sleeping 😴 She is everything friendly, fully housetrained, knows the basic commands and walks well on lead after some initial excitement. 🐾

We do not have any history for Ella but all of old the scars on her body along with healed broken bones, a small missing part of her jaw, no muscle in her rear leg and the puncture wounds you can feel in the top of her head tell us a very horrific and brutal story about her past 😒

As a result of the awful life this poor girl has had and her senior age, we have decided that Ella should stay as a ‘furever foster’ under Lucky, surrounded by loving people and a dedicated team so she will always have everything she needs and deserves for her final years πŸ’œ

Riley – Adopted

Our Happy Endings

We are so pleased to announce thatΒ Riley, our handsome 5 year old little Jack Russell Terrier boy has been adopted πŸŽ‰

Riley came to Lucky from a home where he has been badly abused by the male owner, repeatedly beaten and thrown outside with only an old cupboard for shelter and when he was collected by one of our voluneers he was covered in his own faeces and urine 😑

Riley is a sweet and gentle boy who adores cuddles and being a lapdog πŸ’™ he is fully housetrained, dog and child friendly and loves going for walks and having playtime 🐾Although he is understandably nervous of men when he meets them, he does overcome this with time, patience and a little bribe of sausage or cheese πŸ˜…

Riley was spotted by Ruth and Des and it was love at first sight for them. Riley has spent the last few weeks having several meets and greets and visits to their home so he felt completely safe and happy when his adoption was finalised 😍

Congratulations on your adoption sweet boy, you are going to be so happy 😘

Lottie – Adopted

Our Happy Endings

We are pleased to announce that Lottie, our gorgeous 8 month old German Shepherd puppy Β has been adopted by her foster family πŸŽ‰

Lottie found herself in rescue after a neighbour witnessed her owner abusing her 😑 The owner handed her over without a second thought and Lucky was asked to step in and find her a loving home πŸ’œ

Unfortunately we have discovered that as a result of the abuse she has received, Lottie has a broken hip (along with a couple of now healed leg fractures) that never received medical attention 😑 and she will need a full hip replacement once she is fully grown, which we are currently fundraising for.

Lottie is a typical playful GSD pup, she is highly intelligent and needs lots of mental stimulation and physical exercise 🐾 She is really sweet and loving and absolutely adores curling up with a human for cuddles 🐢

Lottie is housetrained, knows most of the basic commands and is easily capable of learning so many more, she is learning to walk nicely on the lead and is everything friendly, although cats do confuse her 😹

It didn’t come as any surprise when Sonia and family told us there was no way they could bare to part with Lottie and would like to adopt her 😍 so it is now official, Lottie has her forever home πŸ’–

Congratulations sweetie, you’re going to have a wonderful life 😘

Our Happy Endings

It is with great pleasure that we can announce that Ronnie, our stunning 3 year old Rottweiler girl has been adopted by her foster family πŸŽ‰

Ronnie came into Lucky when one of our fosterers saw her being advertised for sale to anyone who could take her that day, she had been in at least 5 homes in the previous 3 months and her new owners had her for only a couple of days but because she hadn’t settled immediately she was sold on 😒

Ronnie is a real sweetheart who was just confused and scared but now she knows she is safe and wont be hurt she absolutely loves curling up on the sofa with her humans for cuddles ❀️

Ronnie has settled in with Lisa and family so well that they couldn’t bare to part with her and although she still has a little way to go with trusting strangers when she meets them, she is extremely happy and her playful side is slowly emerging πŸ˜„

Congratulations on your furever home sweet girl, you really deserve it 😘
